At Michaux Family Chiropractic, many of our clients come to us to get relief from neck pain - and many satisfied clients recommend us to friends and family who also suffer from similar issues. Today we wanted to share some information on how chiropractic adjustments may decrease and fix your neck pain that may convince those on the fence to schedule a treatment.
Too many people take a common approach to neck pain and simply ignore it, hoping that tight muscles will relax over time. They may also rest, get a massage, apply heat to the area, or take medication. Eventually, most people will adapt to the point where range of motion is improved and pain decreases.
Unfortunately, this approach does not treat the underlying causes of neck pain, which makes individuals more likely to suffer a relapse in the future and more likely to develop degenerative arthritis. To minimize the risk of neck pain and arthritis going forward and fully treat the cause, we recommend chiropractic adjustments and other treatments in our office.
Chiropractors know that pain is just the symptom and not the cause of your problem. Instead of just treating only where you hurt, we will perform a full spinal examination to uncover the true cause of your pain and develop a healing plan. A detailed history, an orthopedic exam and any necessary X-rays will tell us exactly what your problem is and how long it should take to fix.
Only chiropractic can bring the vertebrae in your neck and spine back into proper motion and alignment, which reduces muscle spasm and inflammation. As a result of our adjustments, patients are able to move their necks more freely and often without any pain. Pain and inflammation may reduce from the very first treatment. By the time we finish your treatment plan, you will be dramatically better, have less muscle spasms and pain, and often have more energy.
We can also teach stretching and strengthening exercises that you can perform at home or at work to maintain your progress and decrease your the chances of you needing future care.
If you are looking for a treatment method in Clermont, Minneola, Davenport and Groveland, FL that is gentle, non-invasive, and does not require you to take medication, give chiropractic a try and call us at 352-243-7300 to schedule an appointment.
